  • Cash and debit/credit cards are accepted at the Admission Gate, General Merchandise Sales Booth and for Alcohol Tickets. Many vendors will also accept cards. 
  • What to bring:  Lawn chair/blanket, water, umbrella (rain or shine!), hat/sunscreen
  • What NOT to bring:  No outside alcoholic beverages.  No smoking or vaping products. (Bags may be checked at the gate)
  • Parking:  There is ample free parking plus accessible spaces.  All parking on a first come basis.
  • Leashed mild-tempered dogs on leash at all times are allowed but not in the Museum or buildings.

Competitions

Pipe Band & Solo - Highland Dancing - Heavy Events - Tug-of-War 

  • Grade 1 to 5 Pipe Bands are invited to compete at Kingsville-Essex Highland Games for 2024;
  • Highland Dancing is one of the cornerstone events at Highland Games throughout the world;
  • In the Scottish Athletic Heavy Events Competition male and female athletes will compete in various events including the caber toss plus weights for height and distance; (Details and application form)
  • The top of the Tug of War teams of ten will be awarded trophy and prize money in this test of strength against each other; (Click here for information)

Mayor's Haggis Hurl, Sheep Herding, Opening Ceremonies, Scottish Tea Room & Art Exhibition

  • Mayors Haggis Hurl with mayors from the Windsor Essex region competing for the bragging rights of Chief Haggis Hurler.
  • Sheep Herding watch as Viki Kidd works closely with her talented border collie to rally a herd of sheep into one pen;
  • Gather round the main stage at noon for the pomp and pageantry of the Official Opening Ceremonies and the Massed Bands
  • Join us for tea, coffee, treats, music from Parker Ouellette and art from the Arts Society of Kingsville;
